    The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standards of the men and women involved in marketing within the legal profession. One of the principal goals of the Legal Marketing Association is to provide to its members vital and timely information on a wide variety of legal marketing issues so that they may grow professionally as well as personally. LMA members immediately gain access to a wealth of resources including national and regional educational programs, the monthly newsletter Strategies, LMA website and online job bank, industry specific market research, timely and provocative white papers and much more.

    The Chicago Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association was the first LMA chapter to form (back in the days when our organization was called NALFMA - The National Law Firm Marketing Association) ? the year was 1989. Since that time, many members have contributed a great deal of their time to present innovative and forward-thinking programs and to provide leadership that is considered "legendary" in the law firm marketing community.

    Increased competition and the landmark 1977 Supreme Court decision easing restrictions on attorney advertising created a new environment for the legal community. Law firms recognized the need for formal business planning and professional assistance to develop and implement marketing and communications programs. Out of this need emerged the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), a nonprofit professional association dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standards of those involved in marketing for the legal profession

    Established in 1992, the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association (NYLMA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standards of men and women involved in marketing within the legal profession. Our membership is diverse, with marketing professionals from the Global 100 to regional and boutique law firms, as well as many lawyers, consultants and service providers. Currently, there are over 2,100 members internationally, 300 of which are active in NYLMA.

    The Richmond-Hampton Roads Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association was formed in 1999. We hold monthly meetings (except in January and August) and alternate meeting locations between Richmond and Norfolk.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter has remained strongly committed to providing support to its members through quality programming.     APSMA is the Australasian Professional Services Marketing Association, a membership association for marketers in the professional services sector. APSMA has more than 270 member firms, and a network of more than 1,000 individuals in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. APSMA members are marketers in legal, accounting, assurance, tax, business consulting, recruitment, engineering consulting and architectural firms.

    PSMG is the Not-for-Profit Professional Services Marketing Association.

To provide a forum for members to meet, discuss common issues and develop leading edge marketing thinking. To define, improve and encourage good marketing practice. To enhance perception of the value of the marketing function within professional service businesses. To comment, as a recognised body, to the media, other professional institutions and the public on professional services marketing issues.
